Why you need a Marketing Strategy.

As we’ve already seen, marketing is core to your business.

It’s not an add-on function or something you do when you can get around to it or find the time. Moreover, the time to be working on, refining, and implementing your Marketing strategy is not when you’re quiet and you can hear those wolves howling and scratching at the door.

I encourage you to look at your marketing like a “money making” machine. It needs to be meticulously designed and thought out, and put to work for you (and if you’re using the Internet in your Marketing strategy - as you should - then it can be running on autopilot, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week).

In short, it should have a definite aim and purpose, as indeed should every piece in your Marketing strategy. However, most business owners get this wrong, and instead treat it as a haphazard series of largely unconnected events they engage in when they find business a bit slow.

Here’s my promise to you: if you’re prepared to take the time and make the effort to develop a proper Marketing strategy for your business, you’ll find yourself with profit increases of 50% to 250% and you’ll be working much less hard while you’re making it.

You see, my reference to a “money machine” was not in jest. A properly developed Marketing strategy means any time you want more business, all you need to do is turn up the “thermostat” a little and do more of the marketing you’ve figured out for your Marketing strategy, and like clockwork it will bring in statistically commensurate rewards.

Yes, it’s a little work and you will no doubt make a few mistakes along the way. But if you’re careful to test everything small before you put a lot of money into a campaign, your losses will be small. And at the end of it you’ve got a real asset, one worth more than your business itself, stock and buildings included.
